What is the notification inbox?

Your notification inbox is a central place inside KiddyCash where the app collects every message, alert, and activity update sent to your account. Instead of hunting through emails or missing a pop-up, you can open the inbox at any time and see everything in one scrollable list — from allowance payments and wallet top-ups to KYC approval confirmations and badge awards.

Before you start

Make sure you are signed in to your KiddyCash account. The notification inbox is available on all portals — whether you are a parent managing a family, a school administrator, or a business owner running a campaign. No special permissions are required.

How to open your notification inbox

  1. Sign in to your KiddyCash account at kiddy.cash or open the KiddyCash mobile app.

  2. Locate the bell icon in the top-right corner of any screen. A small red badge on the icon shows the number of unread notifications waiting for you.

  3. Tap or click the bell icon. The notification inbox opens as a panel or full-screen list, depending on your device.

  4. Review your notifications. Each item displays a short summary, the time it was sent, and a status indicator showing whether it is read or unread.

If your family uses the Smart Approval feature, you will receive approval-request notifications directly in your inbox whenever a child wants to make a purchase above a set limit — useful whether you are in Nairobi or anywhere else in Kenya managing spending in KES. Troubleshooting

  • Bell icon shows no badge but you expected alerts? Check that notifications are enabled in your device settings and that you have added a verified device — see how to add a device for push notifications.
  • Cannot find the bell icon? Make sure you are fully signed in. The inbox is hidden on the sign-in and onboarding screens.
  • Inbox is empty? New accounts start with an empty inbox. Notifications appear as soon as account activity begins.
