Welcome to the KiddyCash ecosystem! By registering your business, you are joining a network of vendors, schools, and service providers dedicated to helping African families manage allowances and teach children financial literacy. Whether you are running a toy shop in Nairobi or managing a private school, setting up your portal is the first step toward accepting payments via KiddyCash transaction codes and reaching a new generation of young savers.

Setting up your account is straightforward, but it requires specific documentation to ensure we remain compliant with financial regulations across our operating regions. Follow these steps to get started.

Step 1: Access the Registration Portal

To begin, navigate to the KiddyCash Business registration page. This is the dedicated portal for business owners and administrators. Do not use the standard mobile app intended for parents or children; the business portal is optimized for web browsers to give you a full view of your financial analytics and campaign performance.

Step 2: Create Your Administrator Account

Enter your primary business email address and a strong password. This email will serve as the “Master Admin” for your business profile.

  • Definition: An Administrator is the person with full permissions to view balances, withdraw funds to M-Pesa or bank accounts, and manage staff access.

Once you click “Sign Up,” check your inbox for a verification code. Enter this code on the portal to confirm your identity.

Step 3: Define Your Business Profile

After verification, you will be prompted to enter your business details. KiddyCash supports various business types, including schools, extracurricular clubs, and retail stores.

  1. Business Name: Use your legally registered name as it appears on your business permit or tax certificates.
  2. Category: Select the category that best describes your services (e.g., “Education,” “Retail,” or “Entertainment”).
  3. Currency: For users in Kenya, ensure your default currency is set to KES to facilitate seamless M-Pesa settlements.

Step 4: Choose Your Subscription Plan

KiddyCash offers different tiers based on the size of your business and the features you require. Before proceeding, it is helpful to review the /kb/business-free-vs-pro-plan guide to see which fits your needs.

  • Free Plan: Ideal for small vendors or solo entrepreneurs who only need to accept basic payments.
  • Pro Plan: Best for schools and larger franchises that require advanced analytics, multi-staff logins, and the ability to issue custom badges to kids.

Step 5: Complete the KYB Process

To activate your ability to receive funds and withdraw money to your local bank or mobile money wallet, you must verify your business. This is known as KYB (Know Your Business). This step is mandatory for all businesses to prevent fraud and comply with anti-money laundering laws.

You will need to upload digital copies of your registration documents (such as a Certificate of Incorporation or Business Permit) and a valid ID for the business owner. For a detailed checklist of required documents, please refer to our guide on /kb/completing-know-your-business-kyb.

Step 6: Explore Your Dashboard and Campaigns

Once your registration is submitted, you will gain access to your dashboard. From here, you can generate Transaction Codes—unique identifiers that parents and kids use to pay you directly from their KiddyCash wallets.

If you are looking to drive more traffic to your business, you can start by /blog/launching-your-first-kiddy-campaign. Campaigns allow you to offer special discounts or rewards to children who reach their savings goals, helping you build brand loyalty with families early on.
