How to Sign Up for KiddyCash

KiddyCash is a platform that helps families, schools, and businesses manage money for kids — from paying allowances to tracking spending through kids’ wallets. Before you can set up a family account, add a child, or run a school subscription, you need to create a KiddyCash account. This guide walks you through signing up for the first time.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • A working email address you can access right now
  • A phone number (a Kenyan number like Safaricom or Airtel works fine)
  • A stable internet connection

Steps to Sign Up

  1. Go to the sign-up page. Open your browser and navigate to https://kiddy.cash/sign-up. You will see a form asking for your basic details.

  2. Enter your full name. Type your first and last name as they appear on your national ID or passport. KiddyCash uses this during identity verification (called KYC — Know Your Customer), so accuracy matters.

  3. Enter your email address. Use an email you check regularly. KiddyCash will send a one-time passcode (OTP) to this address to confirm it is yours. An OTP is a short, temporary code — usually six digits — that expires after a few minutes.

  4. Enter your phone number. Include your country code. For example, a Nairobi number would be entered as +254 7XX XXX XXX. This number can be linked to M-Pesa later when you fund a wallet or receive payouts.

  5. Create a password. Choose a password that is at least eight characters long and includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Write it down somewhere safe. If you ever forget it, you can recover access using the steps in How to Reset a Forgotten Password.

  6. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Read through these — they explain how KiddyCash handles your data and your children’s financial information. Tick the checkbox to confirm you agree.

  7. Click “Create Account”. KiddyCash will send an OTP to your email address immediately.

  8. Enter the OTP. Check your inbox for an email from KiddyCash. Copy the six-digit code and paste it into the verification field on the screen. The code is valid for ten minutes. If it expires, request a new one by clicking Resend code. For more detail on this step, see How to Log In with Email and OTP.

  9. Choose your workspace type. KiddyCash will ask what you are here to do. Select the option that fits you best:

    • Family — manage kids’ wallets and pay allowances at home
    • School — run subscriptions and track spending for students
    • Business — manage campaigns, transaction codes, or badges for young customers

You can always add more workspace types later from your account settings.

  10. Complete your profile. Add a profile photo and confirm your location (for example, Nairobi, Kenya). This helps KiddyCash show you the right currency — KES — and local features by default.

Your account is now active. You are ready to invite family members, set up a child’s wallet, or configure your school or business workspace.
